Coat

Siberian Huskies come in a variety of colors and patterns, usually with white paws and legs, facial markings, and tail tip. The most common coats are black and white, then less common copper-red and white, gray and white, pure white, and the rare "Agouti" coat, though many individuals have blondish or piebald spotting. Striking masks, spectacles, and other facial markings occur in wide variety. The Siberian Husky's coat is thicker than most other dog breeds, comprising two layers: a dense undercoat and a longer topcoat of short, straight guard hairs. It protects the dogs effectively against harsh Arctic winters, but the coat also reflects heat in the summer. It is able to withstand temperatures as low as -50 to -60 °C (-58 to -76 °F). The undercoat is often absent during shedding. Their thick coats require weekly grooming.

REMEMBER-- NEVER SHAVE A SIBERIAN HUSKY!!! this can damage its coat forever,, and can even result to some skin diseases...

a siberian husky it gifted to adjust its coat as required by the surroundings,, but still recommended not to keep a husky in a hot and humid system...

Size and Appearance

A Siberian husky in a medium sized dog, Often Compared to a wolf but not very true, Siberian Husky holds its own dignity and origin,, purpose and beauty,, which can not b compared to anyone, Especially the Alaskan Malamute..

MY THESIS ON THE SIBEs

The Siberian Husky's are very beautiful , has the power to amaze you in just a glimpse, but is not meant for everybody.

The Sibe requires effort and commitment by the owner , it is not at all the dog that you can leave in your 2BHK apartment and go to work, come back home fill a bowl with pedegree and and go to sleep,, NO

The Husky requires a loving, dedicated and cooperative owner, it is a very powerful breed, can create a riot if left alone in the house, and can even develop a shy conduct which is definetly not good for anyone. can chew thing, is powerful enough to damage any object available in the house.

Is not even meant for keeping in any normal yard, a yard also has to be properly suited for a Husky, a fencing of about 7-8 feet is required as a husky has the power to even jump a 6ft heigh fence, and if moves out of the house has a tendency to explore, and therefore will move out for a adventure and can not even come back, and Husky has a great desire to dig, so it can also dig underneath the fences and run out, therefore a minimum of 4ft underground fencing is also mandatory.

Husky is a quite dog, it would be a very very rare occasion when you will see a husky barking, they DON'T BARK, They howl, they are extremely friendly with everyone, even with robbers so they cannot be gourd dogs, a husky owner has to b physically strong to overcome your dogs power, a firm hold on the leash is always required , can never b trusted off leash, and will not even  return on the owners call.

For people living in hot climates taming a Husky is not at all a good idea, they require proper exercise, a simple walk is not enough, Husky's owned by lazy owners often fall ill by Hip Dysplasia.

training a husky is also not a easy task, they are energetic but follow their own command if the owner is not a strong alpha, Huskies are more comfortable with a pack. and love to do what they are meant to do, and that is WORK, and only physical work.

they are very very very very intelligent, and hence over-smart.

the owner needs to be the alpha, and has to show its superiority, not by hurting the dog, but by not letting it rule over you.

Huskies Shed allot, they shed throughout the year shed heavily after the winter season, for about 2 weeks,

but still constant grooming is required, and as i told above, please do not shave the coat acting smart, because it is not a smart deal,

any questions related to the huskies are most welcome, i would love to answer any questions,, i know allot more about huskies, i worked for about a year with ceasar milan(the dog whisperer) on my project on Huskies, i am not getting any idea to write more, so please ask me and let me clear your doubts ,,

                 THANK YOU :-)
